Lindy Hop Non Stop 2022: Shim Sham Competition

Shim Sham Competition during Lindy Hop Non Stop 2022 1st place: Anna Hasiak 2nd place: Adam Piasecki 3rd place: Krzysztof Janiszewski This year's LHNS Solo Jazz competition was focused on how well contestants know the Shim Sham. It was announced a month before the fest, so everyone could prepare a little bit, by working on their routine. With each round the audience was randomly choosing certain prepared tasks, different music or creative concepts from the hat, for which participants had to show their best ideas. Starting from easy ones to more challenging, until we had one last standing winner. As limitation is often the best motivator for creativity we strived to push for a lot of it, to open new ideas for the dancers and show everyone that Shim Sham doesn't need to be always the same.
