Stephen Sayer is a dancer and instructor dedicated to preserving American partner jazz dances of the 1920s-1950s. Originally from Dayton, Ohio, he began dancing in 1998 at the age of 16. In 2005 he moved to Los Angeles. He has won numerous competitions including 1st place in the Collegiate Shag division at the National Jitterbug Championships (2010, 2011, 2012), the US Open Strictly Lindy Hop, and Camp Jitterbug Strictly Lindy. In 2012, Stephen was inducted as a Rising Star, California Swing Dance Hall of Fame.
