Organizations are profiles for dance schools, bands, DJ collectives, local scenes, or any group that runs events or teaches. They sit alongside your personal dancer profile and give your group its own page, followers, and event history.
What you can do
- Browse the Organizations Directory to find schools, bands, and scene groups
- Create a new organization from the form
- Follow organizations to stay updated on their events and courses
- Claim an unclaimed organization if you run it
Setting one up
Head to create an organization and fill in the name, category (dance school, band, DJ collective, event producer, or local scene), home city, and region. Add a logo, cover photo, and description once you’re in.
After creating, you land on the manage page where you can add members, set up links (website, social media, YouTube), pin notes, and feature highlight videos.
Members and roles
Organizations have three roles: owner, admin, and member. Owners and admins can edit the organization and manage events or courses under it. You can invite people by searching their email or name, or by generating a shareable invite link with a specific role.
Connecting to events and courses
When you create an event or create a course, you can choose an organization as the owner instead of your personal profile. The event or course then shows up on the organization’s page.
Linked community
You can spin up a linked clubhouse (community space) directly from your organization page. Followers are automatically synced as members, so your community has a ready-made home for announcements and discussion.
Good to know
- To accept payments through an organization, you need to claim it first and then connect Stripe from the manage page.
- You can export your follower list and event history as CSV from the manage page.
- Organizations show up in search and the directory once they have a complete profile (name, category, region).
