Registering for an Event

Sign up and pay for swing dance events through Swingaround.

Find an event on the Swing Festival Calendar, open its page, and hit register. You’ll pick your pass, choose your role, and pay all in one flow.

Picking your pass

The event page shows all available pass categories (full pass, party pass, day pass, etc.) with their current prices. Some passes have limited capacity, so you’ll see how many spots are left. If a tier is sold out and the organizer has waitlists turned on, you’ll be added to the waitlist automatically.

Choosing a role

For passes that track lead/follow balance, you’ll select your role: lead, follow, or switch. Organizers can cap each role separately to keep the floor balanced, so one role might fill up before others.

Competitions

If the event runs competitions, you can sign up during registration. Pick your role and optionally name a partner for couple entries. If a comp is full, you’ll be waitlisted with a position number.

Custom forms

Some organizers attach a custom form to registration. This might ask about housing preferences, dietary needs, experience level, or anything else. Your answers save automatically as you fill them in.

Checkout

Your registration stays in draft while you make your selections. A summary at the bottom shows the total. When you’re ready, click checkout to pay through Stripe. Free registrations complete instantly with no payment step. Either way, you’ll get a confirmation email.

You can leave and come back before paying. Your draft is saved.

After registration

Once your registration is complete, you’re automatically marked as “going” on the event page. You can view your registration details anytime from your dashboard or from the event page itself.

Good to know

  • Price tiers can have time windows. If a tier hasn’t opened yet or has already expired, it won’t show up.
  • If a pass sells out while you’re mid-registration, you may be placed on the waitlist instead.
  • You can sign up for competitions during registration or separately from the event’s competition page.
