“Goosebumps” and “tears” were the words we heard most often after the performance — the response we felt in the room was just fantastic! It’s been a pleasure to share this piece with you, and we’re so grateful it resonated with so many!
✨In the beginning, we were looking for a classic jazz standard or a woman’s vocal, we found both in one recording, and what a recording! Billie Holiday’s phrasing and intonation are so profound, unique and bewildering , which made it both exciting and a little scary to choreograph to. From the first listen to performing it live, we were completely captivated..
We know videos rarely carry the full effect of live performance, but we hope you enjoy watching it still!
