🎙#FrankieinHisOwnWords "All jazz steps are taken from life as you know" - Frankie teaches the origin of the "Pimp Walk" which is an evolution of Swaggering. Swaggering is an ostentatious style of walking affected by someone wishing to assert their dominance. It is also a form of machismo which takes up more space than needed for simple motion. The Pimp walk and Cool Walking are the evolved progression of these steps and can be found in steps today. Frankie demonstrates and how it shapes the attitude of the step. In clips like these we understand how Lindy hop is an expression of the lives of the dancers who created it.
