Munich has been putting on balboa and shag weekends for the better part of twenty years. The Rock That Swing Festival has run since 2006 and reaches its twentieth edition in February 2027; the Munich Balboa & Shag Weekend reaches its twentieth in October 2026; the Slow Balboa Weekend is on its seventh. Between Rock That Swing, the Vintage Club and the Boogie Bären, there is usually something on.
Most of what we hold from Munich is festival floor — competition heats, social clips and showcases from those weekends, a little over a thousand clips deep. It leans Lindy Hop, with a real balboa and collegiate shag seam running through it. If you are coming to one of the weekends below, this is what the floor looks like before you get there.

Non-profit club with its own clubhouse in Milbertshofen. Teaches Lindy Hop, Balboa, Collegiate Shag, Boogie Woogie and solo jazz; regular training is members-only, with trial sessions for newcomers.
