Blocking a Profile

Block someone to hide their name and prevent messages and follows.

If someone in the community is making you uncomfortable, you can block their profile. Blocking hides their name from your profile and stops them from messaging or following you.

How to block someone

Visit their dancer profile and tap the three-dot menu in the top right corner. Select Block this person and confirm.

Once you block someone:

  • Their name is hidden from your frequent partners, video credits, and competition entry listings
  • They can’t send you direct messages or start a conversation with you
  • They can’t follow your profile
  • Any existing follows between you are removed automatically

The other person won’t be notified that you blocked them.

How to unblock someone

Go to Settings and scroll to the Blocked profiles section. You’ll see everyone you’ve blocked along with the date. Tap Unblock next to their name.

You can also unblock from their profile page using the same three-dot menu.

Good to know

  • Blocking removes follows in both directions, but unblocking does not restore them. You’ll need to re-follow each other manually.
  • Blocking a profile is separate from community moderation. A community moderator manages their own membership independently.
  • Competition results and historical data are not affected. Your shared results still appear on public competition pages.
  • You need a dancer profile and to be logged in to block someone.
