When a competition is listed on Swingaround, you can register and track your results all in one place. Browse what’s available on Browse Results, or check My Competitions to see everything you’re signed up for.
Finding a comp
Competitions show up on their event’s page or as standalone listings. You can search by dance style on Browse Results. If registration is open, you’ll see an “Enter” button on the comp page.
Submitting your entry
How you enter depends on the comp type:
- Mix and match: Pick whether you’re competing as a lead or follow. You’re entered as an individual.
- Strictly: You and your partner are entered together as a couple.
- Team showcase: Register your whole group under a team name.
- Solo: Enter on your own, no role needed.
You’ll get a bib number assigned automatically once your entry is created.
Confirmed or waitlisted
If there’s space, you’re confirmed right away. If the comp is full (or your role is full in a mix and match), you go on the waitlist. You’ll get a notification with your position.
If someone ahead of you withdraws, you get promoted automatically. You’ll receive an email when that happens. You can also withdraw from a comp at any time before it starts.
Tracking your results
Once the organizer publishes results, you can see your placement directly on the comp page. Your full competition history lives on your dashboard under My Competitions, grouped by year. This includes both official results and any self-reported results you’ve added.
Your competition results also show up on your dancer profile, so other dancers can see your track record.
