Not every competition is hosted through Swingaround, but you can still add your placements to build a complete results history on your profile. Head to My Competitions to get started.
How it works
Reporting results is a step-by-step flow:
1. Pick or create the event
Search for an existing event on the platform. If it’s not listed, you can create a quick historical event entry with the name, dates, and location.
2. Find or create the competition
Once you’ve selected an event, you’ll see its existing competitions. If your comp isn’t there, create one by giving it a name, type (J&J, Strictly, Mix & Match, Solo, etc.), and role mode.
3. Add placements
For each placement, enter the dancer name and their finishing position (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.) or mark them as a finalist. You can add yourself and other dancers. The platform auto-links to existing dancer profiles or creates new ones.
Use batch mode to enter multiple placements at once if you have the full results.
4. Link a video
If you have a video of the competition, you can link it to the round. One video per competition keeps things clean.
Where results show up
Self-reported results appear on your dancer profile under the Competitions section and on My Competitions. They’re marked as user-submitted so people can see where the data came from. Anyone can report a result if they think it’s inaccurate.
Good to know
- You can only delete placements you personally added.
- Duplicate entries for the same dancer in the same round are blocked.
- Your results history on My Competitions combines both official (event-hosted) and self-reported placements.
